Sydney Rose moved from the big city (Portland) to a smaller community and so we decided to take a short trip to see where her new home was. So Carol, my Dad and I traveled from LAX with a direct flight to Medford, OR, where we rented what looks like a great high performance vehicle, but in reality, the Camero was so very uncomfortable. We ended up traveling most of the time in Sydney’s 2002 Malibu. We stayed two days which was about as long as my Dad could tolerate.
We arrived mid Sunday afternoon and took it easy staying at our hotel hanging out with the Sydster. On Monday, we drove around Ashland and saw how beautiful the town was. We visited Sydney’s new bakery where she just recently got hired, and then because it was hard on my dad to get around, we visited a couple of wineries!
That evening, we met Sydney’s roommates Cuoma and Eli and had dinner with them in Ashland.
On Tuesday, our final day, Sydeny went with us to Medford where we got to see the college she has enrolled to start on her degree in Food Science. We had lunch and we were back at the airport.
Short trip, but we had a lovely time and my dad slept extremely well both nights.
