Dad, Carol and I enjoyed a scrumptous meal at the Water’s Edge overlooking the Ventura Harbor this year for Valentine’s Day.
We were all in good spirits as we enjoyed each other’s company. Dad decided we would be having Tanguerey Martinis (two each); Carol does not drink, but as always, she indulged our libations. The service was superb, the food uber delicious and yes we indulged in the desserts.
Water’s Edge had roses for everyone, a photographer providing a free portrait (see above and below) as well as live music featuring local artists, Karen Eden.
Karen sent me an email the next day with a sweet testimonial about my dad. The subject line was “Ladies Man” She wrote:
“So great to see you all last night! I have always loved seeing your Dad around Pierpont. We would chat at Vons or the donut shop. Always very charming and reminds me of my Dad. I’m not sure what happened but last night he still had a twinkle in his eye! I’m sending you all healing prayers and positive vibes.
